so i made the basic and boring mandala thing at the very top on some mandala making app a week or two ago. however i was not satisfied as it is clearly hella dull, so i then proceeded to fuck with it in a variety of apps, the final and most pleasing one (the last 22 pictures or so) being hyperspektiv (everyone should download it for real asap), so here’s all of those results that i ended up liking at least a fair amount.

first attempts at pixel art.
i don’t remember when exactly i made these, but based on the date stamp on one of them, i’d say it was around september 2018. i made the squids on some program on my computer (a macbook pro) and i made the other ones on an ios app that i can’t find at the moment and might not have anymore, oh well.
i love pixel art so very dearly, but i can’t quite seem to get it down without a reference picture, so i’m still working on creating things simply from my own imagination. if anyone has any good guides or tutorials to suggest, please please help me out!
